Refrigerant Gases

Towards the refrigeration of the future

Rivora has offered refrigerant fluids of Chemours, the first global refrigerants producer, for over 60 years. In the late 1930s, Chemours developed the first synthetic , non-toxic, nonflammable refrigerants. At the end of 1980s, in order to solve the problem of ozon layer reduction, new refrigerant gases, Suva Chemours, were introduced to replace CFC. The 2037/2000 European Regulation adopted on 1 January 2010, as amended by the 1005/2009 European Regulation, prohibits the sale and use for maintenance purposes of HCFC refrigerant fluids, due to their non-negligible impact on stratospheric ozone.

HFC (Hydrofluorocarbons) including R-134A, R-404A, R-410A, are gases with GWP (Global Warming Potential) close to zero.

Chemours ISCEON blends “Serie 9” are refrigerants designed to facilitate the retrofitting of refrigerants and air-conditioning systems.

Refrigerant gas Performax LT is a blend of HFCs suitable for retrofitting direct expansion refrigeration system charged with R-22, R-502 or other mixture containing HCFC, it is used in particular in commercial and industrial low and medium temperature applications.

Refrigerant fluids HFO-1234yf and HFO-1234ze are characterized by a very low Global Warming Potential (GWP), in keeping with Kyoto protocol provisions.
